How to Activate Your PARE Account
When an account is set up for you on PARE, an activation link will automatically be created and sent to your email address. This activation email will invite you to access PARE for the first time and verify your details. This should be sent within 10-15 minutes of the account being created. If you do not receive the email, then check your junk/spam folder as it may have been redirected there:
If your email account is with Outlook, your inbox may have separate Focus and Other folders; if so then please check both, as the email may have been sent to the Other folder automatically.
Once you have found your activation email, click the Activate Your Account button, or copy/paste the link into your web browser. You will be taken to the Account Verification page:

Please take note of the email address listed in your account details. Some organisation may use multiple formats for their email addresses, and the one listed in your account details will be the username which you will use to log into PARE. This email address is also shown in your activation email. | ||
You will be asked to verify your account details, create a new password to for your PARE account, and review and accept PARE’s terms and conditions.
Placement Provider Accounts: Confirming your Organisation |

If your profile is linked to a placement provider on PARE, such as a trust, you will also generally be asked to select your organisation’s name when you activate your account. If you select the wrong organisation name three times, your account will be locked, and you will not be able to log into PARE. If you are not sure what organisation your account is linked to on PARE, please contact the person who set up your account, or alternatively contact your management team for assistance. They will be able to check that your account is linked to the correct placement provider organisation and confirm its name, as it appears on PARE. If your account is locked during the activation process, please contact the PARE Team for assistance. |
Once you have completed all of these steps, click the green Confirm Details button to activate your account.
You will then be shown a message confirming that you have verified your details, and you will be able to log into PARE:
Troubleshooting Tips
Why haven’t I received my PARE account activation email?
- The account activation email may have been sent to your spam/junk folder. Please check this folder in case the activation email is redirected there.
- Your account may not have been set up yet on PARE, or your PARE account may have been set up under an incorrect email address. Contact your placement office or Practice Education Facilitators to confirm that an account has been set up for you, and to check that its details are correct and up to date.
- Your device/IT network may be blocking emails from third party sites. Check your browser/network security set up. If necessary, your placement office can re-send you the activation link directly from their organisation email address.
If after following these steps, you still have not received your activation link, please contact the PARE Team for further assistance.
Why isn't my activation link working?
- If your account has already been activated, then your activation email will no longer be valid. If you do not know your login details, please click the Forgot Password? link in the sign in box for PARE:
This will allow you to send yourself a password reset link, and regain access to your account.
How do I log in to PARE once I've activated my account?
- Go to https://onlinepare.net to open the PARE website home page.
- Click on the Sign In link at the top-right of the home page.
- On the login details box, enter your PARE account email ID. This should be the email address provided by your university or placement provider organisation.
- Enter the PARE account password that you entered on setting up your PARE account
